Heat class
120V infrared vs 240V sauna
The first cut is electrical, not brand. Cabins built for a standard US 120V receptacle are a different class from Finnish-style heaters that need a dedicated 240V circuit and an electrician. Confirm the nameplate on the unit you are considering, and the spare capacity on your panel, before you buy.
Cold class
Ice barrel vs chilled plunge
Home cold is three different products pretending to be one search. An ice-fed barrel has no compressor. A chilled tub holds a set temperature with a refrigeration circuit. A chest-freezer conversion is a DIY class with electrical and liner risks ThriveHop will not walk you through.
Heat + cold
Garage contrast layout
Contrast at home is a walk between heat and cold, not two appliances stacked in a corner. A two-car garage is the space class that usually has the width for a cabin, a tub, and a dry path that does not cross the electrical panel.
Light class
Panel vs mask vs bed
Buy coverage and a published irradiance, not a watt number on a box. A face mask, a panel you stand in front of, and a bed or mat you lie on are different classes. ThriveHop does not treat any of them as a medical device on this page.
